In this transformative course, you’ll delve into the potential of virtual worlds to reshape our reality, exploring how digital media technologies can craft immersive experiences. For my first project, I envisioned a fractured Earth divided into distinct cultures following cataclysmic events, where an augmented reality application immerses users in a world of interconnected communities, facing environmental challenges and inter-community dynamics. Despite initial hurdles, the project culminated in a compelling diorama illustrating the intricate interplay of societies and their reliance on goods transport. Project two delves into a future where an AI controls weather patterns, introducing an endearing helper robot to facilitate communication. Through an augmented reality application, users engage with this AI-driven world, pondering its implications on human existence and the integration of AI into daily life, bridging the gap between fiction and reality.
